The Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders, CACOL, has urged the Lagos State government to prosecute the star witness in the case of the killer of Kudirat Abiola, Barnabas Jabila, a.k.a Sergeant Rogers, since he had never denied that he was the one who shot her.

CACOL chairman, Comrade Debo Adeniran disclosed this at a press briefing in Lagos, arguing that “since Sergeant Rogers only claimed he was bribed to implicate Hamza Al-Mustapha and others, he never denied shooting Kudirat Abiola, why can’t Lagos State government go after him, being the prime suspect?”

Adeniran noted that the Lagos State government might have lost the case at the Court of Appeal due to its legal team, “which comprised of civil servants, who are mostly mediocre and non starters unlike the defence legal team made up of seasoned and highly influential Senior Advocates of Nigeria, SANs.”

CACOL also lamented that “the murder of Kudirat Abiola is going the way of the likes of Dele Giwa, Harry Marshal, Pa Alfred Rewane, Sola Omotehinwa, Nelson Kassim, Bagauda Kaltho, Madam Suliat Adedeji, Chief Bola Ige and a host of others unsolved murders.
